Some curious social media activity from LeBron James has fans believing that they know where Bronny James will end up.
Bronny is reported to have entered the transfer portal this week in a shocking move, having spent his first season of college basketball with USC. LeBron has offered a reaction to the reports, insisting his son will be the one to decide on his future.
While the NBA superstar has made the above claims, an X/Twitter post has suggested he knows exactly where the younger James is headed. At least that’s the way some people see it.
Bronny’s decision to enter the portal is understood to be a result of head coach Andy Enfield leaving for SMU. The Trojans are reportedly keen on bringing a replacement whom the James family is familiar with – Arkansas HC Eric Musselman – yet Bronny is still expected to play his college ball elsewhere in 2024.
Many believe he will opt to play for Ohio State given his dad’s roots, as well as the fact that a close family friend decided to play there on the same day Bronny was reported to have entered the portal.

Bronny also had an offer from Memphis before choosing USC, so they’re thought to have a chance at landing him too. However, Duquesne is now thought to be in the race as they recently hired Dru Joyce III, one of LBJ’s good friends who played with him in high school.
The Lakers star acknowledged the hire via X/Twitter this week, and some fans reckon his son is joining the Dukes.
LeBron James Says Bronny Has Some Tough Decisions To Make
LeBron James told reporters he wouldn’t be involved in the decision-making process for his son and the family would support whatever he does.
“Bronny’s his own man,” he said after a win over the Raptors on Tuesday “He’s got some tough decisions to make. When he’s ready to make that decision, he’ll let us all know. As a family, we’re going to support whatever he does.”
In any case, Lebron tweeting support for an old friend hardly means his son is going to play for him. But we won’t have to wait too long to find out where Bronny ends up, if anywhere at all.
