Connor Stalions – the suspended Michigan analyst at the center of the scandal – reportedly purchased tickets to numerous games from upcoming opponents of the Michigan Wolverines to steal signs and now he is paying for his actions.
Michigan has fired recruiting analyst Connor Stalions, according to Yahoo Sports columnist, Dan Wetzel.
Stalions, who was at the center of the Michigan football sign-stealing allegations, was originally suspended with pay after the story broke but more and more evidence continued to come out from him allegedly buying tickets to over 30 games in his name to scout teams, to him allegedly attending the Central Michigan vs. Michigan State game on the sidelines at CMU.
According to ESPN, there are records of Stalions buying tickets to the 2021 and 2022 SEC championship games through the secondary market.
It was all too much and it was time for the program to part ways.
Sign-stealing itself is not technically against the rules unless it involves electronic equipment to record and inform players or coaches of signals during games.
