A Maryland teenager lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident in Maryland last week, plunging his community into mourning. Ryan Baldwin, an 18-year-old basketball star, succumbed to injuries suffered in a collision after losing control of his bike.
According to Maryland State Police, the teen slammed into a guardrail before another vehicle hit him. He was already dead when authorities arrived on the scene.
Baldwin, who hailed from Walkersville, Maryland, is said to have been traveling eastbound on his motorcycle when he lost control of it for unknown reasons. He struck a guardrail and was then struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of a Mitsubishi involved in the collision did not sustain any injuries and remained at the scene, per WFMD.
Police Still Investigating The Circumstances Of Ryan Baldwin’s Death
Maryland State Troopers responded to a call of a crash nearing 10 p.m. on Saturday night after being informed that a pedestrian had gotten hit on the 11-thousand block of Woodsboro Creagerstown Road. The pedestrian was later identified as Ryan Baldwin.
The Maryland State Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
