The mass exodus from the Colorado football program continued this week.
Thirteen Buffaloes players have already entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Monday, according to On3Sports.
Among the group were wide receivers Jordan Tyson and Montana Lemonious-Craig, who were expected to be major contributors.
Deion Sanders was not kidding when he said he was bringing his own baggage with him to Colorado. He has now had 41 scholarship players entering the portal since 2022 when Coach Prime was hired.
So far, 63 of their 83 scholarship players from 2022 have moved on.

Back in December, Sanders famously encouraged players to look at the transfer portal if they were not a fit for his program.
“We got a few positions already taken care of, because I’m bringing my luggage with me — and it’s Louis [Vuitton]. Okay, it ain’t gonna be no more of the mess that these wonderful fans, the student body, and some of your parents have put up with … for probably two decades now. I’m comin’ and when I get here it’s gonna be changed,” Sanders said at the time.
“So I want y’all to get ready, to go ahead and jump in that portal, and do whatever you’re gonna get, because the more of you jump in, the more room we make, because we’re bringing in kids who are smart, say that, tough.”
Among the new players on the team are some from his time at Jackson State, namely Travis Hunter, who was the No. 1-ranked player in the class of 2022. He also brought in 5-star cornerback Cormani McClain to pair with Hunter in the defensive backfield.
The Buffaloes have been losing players to the portal throughout the spring, but Monday was the program’s largest set of departures since Sanders took over.
Despite the mass exodus, the energy surrounding the program has totally changed with Sanders’ arrival, and there is perhaps no greater example than the turnout at the spring game. Folsom Field was jam-packed with 47,277 people in attendance.
The previous nine iterations brought in an estimated 47,044 combined.
