Deion Sanders is asking for donors to break the bank for the Colorado Buffaloes as he reckons it will take some spending to get some of the players the program needs.
The former NFL superstar ended his first season in charge at Boulder with a 4-8 record, losing his final game to Utah this Saturday.
The defeat marked the sixth consecutive reverse for a Buffs team that had the entire country hyped after a 3-0 start. It’s since become clear that the team needs certain key areas addressed, especially its offensive line.
Coach Prime was pretty frank after Saturday’s loss, pointing out that the program needs a cash injection.
“We definitely need ‘giving.’ You know what I mean. “It’s unfortunate to say this, but some kids cost, ” he admitted. “We can sit here and talk about great coaching and great this and great that all we want. But it’s going to be a credit card swipe with all these guys going to these playoffs. I understand that.”

While Prime has admitted that CU could do with some funding, he has also promised some big things to come in terms of recruitment and transfers.
“I could see around the corner tremendously. I don’t just see what’s right ahead,” he declared. “So at the beginning of the season, I kind of saw around the corner. I think I kind of forewarned you guys after the Oregon game, ‘You better get us now.’ Because I know what we have in-house. I know what we don’t have.
“I know we’re lacking tremendously. And that was a prelude to some things that kind of fell apart. They really dominated our weaknesses.”
