Colorado Buffaloes two-way superstar Travis Hunter made a surprise admission about his lifestyle when he’s not out dominating on the football field.
Travis Hunter is entering his second season with Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes, who opened their 2024 campaign at home against the North Dakota State Bison on Thursday evening.
As everyone knows, it’s common for rich and famous people (especially athletes when they’re young and healthy) to enjoy clubbing, partying, and other late-night events in their spare time.
But during an interview with ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg that was published before the season opener, Travis Hunter revealed that he doesn’t enjoy partying outside of football. In fact, the Colorado star prefers to keep things low-key during his alone time:
“I don’t like to party, I don’t like to go out. I barely like talking to people sometimes. I literally wake up, go do my football stuff, get my recovery in and I’m back at home. Football, school, fishing and playing my video game. That’s it.”
Nobody would be able to fault a young star athlete like Hunter if he frequently partied. Again, it’s just a super common habit for wealthy and famous people who have the resources and time to live that lifestyle.

But Hunter finds other ways to keep himself busy during his free time, and he should be applauded for it. He may be famous and soon-to-be extremely wealthy (a massive NFL contract awaits), but Hunter doesn’t have to go outside of his comfort zone and party for the sake of it.
Travis Hunter Is A Top 2025 NFL Draft Prospect
Hunter turned heads in his first year with the Buffaloes last season with his all-world play as a wide receiver and cornerback. As a wide receiver, he hauled in 57 receptions for 721 yards and five touchdowns.
As a lockdown and ball-hawking corner, Hunter had five pass breakups and three interceptions. It’s no coincidence that the Buffaloes lost their early-season momentum when Hunter missed time due to a lacerated liver.
Hunter is widely projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, along with teammate and quarterback Sheduer Sanders. If Hunter builds off last year’s excellent season, his draft stock will grow even higher.
