Deion Sanders has still got it.
There were fears the Colorado head coach had lost his touch following multiple players de-committing from the Buffaloes in recent weeks. But Coach Prime has secured a key commitment for the program as a five-star player has announced his intention to play in Boulder.
Colorado’s offensive line was its Achilles heel in 2023 and was a source of frustration for Sanders, who could only watch on helplessly as his son, Shedeur, took hit after hit game after game. The younger Sanders was the most sacked quarterback in college football by the end of the season and even missed the last game with a back fracture.
Prime is looking to correct that in 2024 and has made a coaching hire on that front, bringing in former offensive tackle Phil Loadhold as an offensive line coach.
He has also done some work on the recruiting front as IMG Academy five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton has committed to Colorado. Seaton is the No. 30 prospect in the country, per 247Sports, and is the first five-star prospect the Buffs have landed for the class of 2024.
“I’m coming to not only block for the Heisman contender, I’m showing you that wherever you go the work must get put in regardless,” Seaton said, per On3.

The importance of such a commitment was not lost on the Buffaloes’ social media admin, who posted a GIF of Sanders celebrating in his cowboy hat and sunglasses.
247Sports ranks the Buffs recruiting class at No. 53. As of Thursday morning, they had one five-star prospect and three four-stars locked in.
Prime is also expected to work his magic now that the transfer portal is open. Things are likely to get very interesting.
