A former four-star prospect out of Memphis, Tennessee, is heading to the Colorado Buffaloes to possibly finish out his career.
Dallan Hayden, the former Ohio State running back who entered the transfer portal last week, announced he is headed to Colorado, according to ESPN.com.
Hayden gives the Buffaloes some needed talent at the position with Alton McCaskill IV deciding to move on to another program. During last Thursday’s spring practice, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders told the entire Colorado team that walk-on Charlie Offerdahl would be Colorado’s second-string running back “until further notice.”
Since appointing Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders as head coach sixteen months ago, the Buffaloes have relied mainly on the transfer portal to fill out the team.
Hayden visited the school over the weekend and evidently was pleased enough with what he saw to make his decision official. Hayden was one of two Buckeyes to use the transfer portal when it opened for the 15-day spring window last Tuesday.

Over their first year with Sanders taking over, Coach Prime has brought in 53 transfers for Colorado and many more have followed this offseason. Hayden becomes the fifth transfer to commit to the Buffaloes.
Dallan Hayden Now Has a Chance To Be A Featured Back With The Colorado Buffaloes
In two seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallan Hayden was a backup in the backfield rotation. Not much was going to change heading into the 2024 season, as Hayden was expected to remain behind TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins on the depth chart.
Despite his lack of playing time, he showed promise when he was on the field.
Hayden joined the Buckeyes in June 2022 and had 663 rushing yards and six touchdowns over two seasons.
He now has the chance to be the featured back and not only improve on his numbers but set himself up to be a quality NFL Draft pick in the future.
