The Colorado Buffaloes have landed another major recruit for 2024, one that emphasizes the program’s clear focus going forward.
Former Indiana Hoosiers offensive lineman Matthew Bedford announced on X (formerly known as Twitter), that he has committed to the Buffaloes.
The Buffaloes have been loading up on recruiting offensive linemen in recent weeks. Tyler Johnson (previously Texas and Houston), UTEP’s Justin Miner, Indiana’s Kahlil Benson, UConn’s Yakiri Walker and Butler Community College’s Issiah Walker Jr. are the other offensive linemen who’ve committed to the Buffaloes.
Clearly, head coach Deion Sanders meant it when he warned that the Buffaloes would have to bring in new offensive linemen to protect Shedeur.
Shedeur put together an impressive first season with the Buffaloes under his father despite playing behind arguably the nation’s worst offensive line. Shedeur was sacked a ridiculous 53 times in 11 games this season.

Prime Time’s Buffaloes were the top story in football early in the 2023 season, starting out 3-0 and thus tripling their win total from 2022. But the leaky pass protection and an injury to two-way star Travis Hunter led to a miserable 1-7 finish for Colorado, who tallied a 4-8 record in year one under Coach Prime.
The Buffaloes concluded their 2023 season with a 23-17 road loss to the Utah Utes on Nov. 25.
