Walter Taylor, one of 3 Vanderbilt quarterbacks to hit the transfer portal following the end of the 2023 season, has reportedly decided where he wants to take his talents.
Taylor, who played sparingly for Vanderbilt, will join the Big 12 conference alongside Colorado next season. He will now join former Vanderbilt wide receiver Will Sheppard in Boulder with HC Deion Sanders.
He is the 13th player to join Colorado during the transfer portal window.
The 6-foot-7, 235-pound Taylor joins a Colorado program that finished 4-8 in 2023 under first-year coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders.
Shedeur Sanders started at quarterback last year and figures to be the starter in 2024. He has just one season of eligibility remaining.
Taylor, a Jackson native, played in five games for the Commodores as a redshirt freshman in 2023. He has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

In limited snaps last year, Taylor completed five of 15 passes for 44 yards with an interception in 2023, and rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on 30 attempts.
