If there was any doubt things between in-state rivals Colorado and Colorado State had gotten personal ahead of their showdown on Saturday night, the pregame altercation between the two teams should be enough confirmation.
Deion Sanders got a reason to fire his men up this week after Rams head coach Jay Norvell criticized him over a perceived lack of respect as he claimed to take his hat and eyewear off whenever he addresses adults.
Sanders has since responded to the shot. And, with pregame warmups taking place ahead of the clash, things have gotten pretty heated as the teams got into an altercation at midfield.
The fracas is thought to have stemmed from a Colorado State player swatting a ball meant for Buffaloes star Travis Hunter out of the air.
The spat required several coaches and members of security to intervene before things got any worse.
