The last thing the Oklahoma State Cowboys needed was terrible news, but that is precisely what they got when news broke about Ollie Gordon.
A prominent member of the Oklahoma State University’s football team, star running back Ollie Gordon, found himself in handcuffs and taken to jail as he was accused of driving under the influence and speeding.
According to KOCO, the 20-year-old was stopped early Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m. after a local officer stated he was speeding and swerving multiple times on Interstate 35.
The arresting officer said he smelled “an odor associated with an alcoholic beverage” and would confirm it when he found half of a bottle of vodka and half of a bottle of tequila in Ollie Gordon’s vehicle.
KFOR’s Dylan Buckingham obtained the affidavit, which showed Gordan denied drinking before later saying he had a single drink.
Ollie Gordon initially refused to take a field sobriety test multiple times but eventually did so, which made his situation worse as he blew a 0.11 BAC and a 0.10 BAC at the Cleveland County jail nearly 40 minutes later.
