Beau Allen is coming home.
Beau Allen has officially committed to Kentucky Football, which is where his college football journey started before he ultimately left the program two years ago.
As it stands, the Bluegrass native will have two years of eligibility.
“I would like to thank Coach Stoops and the entire University of Kentucky football family. I am extremely excited to announce I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Kentucky. I can’t wait to get to work,” Allen wrote on Twitter.
A three-star prospect in the class of 2020, he served as backup to Will Levis in 2021.
Allen played in five games over two seasons going 11/19 for 132 yards.

From there, he would transfer to FCS Tarleton State. For them, he threw for 2,836 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions through 11 games. Last season, Allen transferred to Georgia Southern, but the NCAA denied his waiver for immediate eligibility.
Now, he will join Georgia transfer Brock Vandagriff in the quarterback room, along with LCA quarterback Cutter Boley who is set to early enroll, and sophomore Dayton transfer, Shane Hamm.
His situation in Lexington is not much different right now than it was back then. Barring injury, Vandagriff is almost certain to start for UK next season. However, Kentucky needed another experienced arm, and they appear to have found that in a former player.
