Cole Kramer took part in Minnesota’s senior day ceremony before the final home game to mark his five years playing for the home-state program.
Once he is officially done, Kramer is set to plan a wedding with his fiancée and seek employment in sales and packing for a move to Arizona.
The career backup made his first start at quarterback for Minnesota in the Quick Lane Bowl on Tuesday against Bowling Green. He led the team to a 30-24 win over Bowling Green in the Quick Lane Bowl.
The Gophers “were out of quarterbacks,” as coach P.J. Fleck said, before they asked Cole Kramer to stay one more game and make his first career start.
He should’ve been the star but his fiancee, Katie Miller, stole the show on this night.
The couple got engaged in May 2022.

The fifth-year quarterback had quite the game as he completed eight of 16 passes for 26 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a TD.
The Gophers won the game 30-24 and Kramer gets to go from the field to the awaiting hands of his future wife who now has thousands of male admirers because of her screen time on ESPN.
