A college football coach has taken a swipe at Arch Manning ahead of their upcoming clash, making some bold claims.
Manning had an impressive showing for Texas against UTSA last weekend after replacing an injured Quinn Ewers. He would fire the Longhorns to a 57-6 win with four touchdown passes. However, the standout moment came when he ran one in himself, taking off at over 20 mph for 67 yards and a touchdown.
The quarterback could be in line to start his first game for Texas this Saturday, with Ewers still racing to regain fitness.
A game against Louisiana-Monroe is up next, and fans hope to see him play a full game.
Meanwhile, Warhawks defensive coordinator Earnest Hill has seemingly taken a shot at the QB in the buildup to the game, suggesting that his players will not be intimidated by the newest prodigy to come from the Manning family.
“We actually have some kids on our team who played against him in New Orleans, and a couple guys done beat him already,” Hill said, per On3.
“So, they don’t hold too much fear against him. They’re not gonna hold any fear against him coming up here.”

The ULM DC Also Had Lots Of Praise For Arch Manning
Hill was also very complimentary toward Manning, who he reckons has gotten the best quarterback education a young player could hope for.
“I think Ewers, only thing he has on Manning is he has played more games,” he added.
“And Manning, he’s been raised to be a quarterback. His uncle, both his uncles, very successful so he’s been taught the right way. He’s been at every quarterback camp.
“Again, he’s at Texas for a reason and it’s an opportunity for him to actually start a game and see what he can do.”
If nothing else, Hill has made things interesting ahead of Saturday night’s matchup. Let’s see how Manning responds if he does play.
