The Kansas Jayhawks defeated the UNLV Rebels in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl but that was not the thing people are talking about this week.
A sudden change in the betting line ahead of the Guaranteed Rate Bowl between UNLV and Kansas has raised eyebrows and the play in the game raised even more.
UNLV, which already had a game flagged in November for suspicious betting patterns during a game with New Mexico State, moved from 13-point underdogs to 8.5-point underdogs on Sportsbooks with no real reason why.
Multiple accounts were created just to wager on that game in November, however, U.S. Integrity CEO Matthew Holt said earlier this month that its portion of the investigation was closed.
It seems Kansas quarterback Jason Beam had health questions heading into the game while rumors came out about running back Devin Neal as he posted a cryptic Instagram story.

However, that chatter would stop when he was spotted on the field during warmups and stated he would be playing.
Kansas ended its 15-year winless drought in bowl games with a 49-36 victory over UNLV in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
The officiating in the game fueled more theorizing. The two teams combined for 309 yards worth of penalties on 27 accepted fouls. Kansas got flagged 18 times for 216 yards.
The 18 penalties Kansas took tied the Guaranteed Bowl record and the yardage set a new mark. UNLV also failed to cover the 8.5-point spread.
It should be noted that Kansas was the 14th-best team in the country against penalties, with only 55 during the season.
Bean set career-highs with 449 passing yards and six touchdowns. He also threw three interceptions. Kansas wide receiver Luke Grimm had 160 yards and three touchdowns on four receptions.
Neal went for 71 yards and a score on 20 touches.
The Jayhawks finished 2023 with nine wins, their most in a season since 2007.
