A projected NFL first-round pick has suffered a worrying injury on Saturday.
Penn State lost defensive lineman Chop Robinson during their clash against No. 3 ranked Ohio State, with the player requiring help to get off the field. The seventh-ranked Nittany Lions are playing their biggest game of the season and were behind 10-6 in the third quarter at the time of writing.
They were hit with a concerning development in the first half after Robinson got involved in a helmet-to-helmet challenge with a Buckeyes offensive lineman while attempting to get to the backfield.
He dropped to the ground immediately after the impact, prompting some worry as there were fears he suffered a head injury. He was eventually able to walk off the field, though it wasn’t without help from his teammates, and was subsequently carted away.
Reports later indicated that an emotional Robinson was in tears as he was taken off the field.

Robinson is in his second year with Penn State after transferring from Maryland on the back of his freshman term. It’s hoped that his injury isn’t too serious given how important he is to his team, as well as his draft prospects.
