The venue for the highly-anticipated CFP National Championship game between the Michigan Wolverines and Washington Huskies has made a significant announcement.
The game will be hosted at the NRG Stadium in Texas, the home of the Houston Texans. And given the potential for adverse weather conditions, the roof will be closed when the teams clash over national glory.
That is according to 247Sports’ Alejandro Zuniga, who cites a source.
Both teams boast perfect 14-0 records heading into this game. The Wolverines beat Alabama in an overtime thriller in last Monday’s Rose Bowl to book their ticket to the upcoming game.
The Huskies also cut it close as they beat Texas to advance, with their Sugar Bowl clash coming down to the very last throw.
