The venue for the 2027 National Championship Game has been announced following Ohio State’s victory this week.
The Buckeyes defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to stamp their claim as the best football program in the nation and will hope to be back in the thick of things next season.
This year’s CFP final showdown was hosted at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, and the next one is set for Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. The 2027 location had not yet been decided, but we now know where the game will take place.
According to the organizers’ official website, the game will be played out at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
“College football fans across the country are going to be thrilled to hear this news today,” CFP executive director Rich Clark said as part of the announcement.
“Las Vegas has shown the world they have amazing venues and boundless energy to host an event like the College Football Playoff National Championship in spectacular fashion. I can’t think of a better stage to crown the best team in college football in 2027.”
Las Vegas’ Excellent Super Bowl Hosting Has Led To The City Getting A National Championship Game
Las Vegas hosted a Super Bowl for the first time in 2024, as said stadium played host to the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58. The event was a huge success, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has expressed a willingness to take the big game back to Sin City at the soonest opportunity.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) was pleased with the most recent development.
“Pairing the energy of Las Vegas with the College Football Playoff National Championship will make for a truly extraordinary event, both on and off the field,” president and CEO Steve Hill said.
“We appreciate the opportunity the CFP has provided us to welcome college football’s greatest athletes and biggest fans for an unmatched national championship experience in the city built for celebration.”
The city will become the third in the Pacific time zone to host such a game, with Los Angeles and California’s Bay Area having previous games.
Of course, the fixture is still two years away, and everyone’s looking ahead to the next campaign. But fans should know what to expect, given that the Allegiant Stadium proved to be a worthy venue for Super Bowl 58.
