Will McElvain will remember this hit for quite some time.
The Central Arkansas quarterback likely woke up with some severe whiplash after the team’s first game of the season.
After faking the handoff on the play-action, McElvain looked to his left and never saw a pass rusher coming in from his right as a blocking assignment was clearly missed.
It resulted in him being lifted off his feet with a brutal tackle that sent his helmet flying.
McElvain had a 12-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter while he added a 7-yard touchdown pass to Myles Butler that capped the scoring with 9:35 remaining.
