The Cavinder Twins are set for life after basketball, having announced their decision not to return to the Miami Hurricanes next season.
The 22-year-olds played an instrumental role in the Canes reaching the Elite Eight during the recent March Madness, but have opted not to play out their fifth year of eligibility and it appears they will be stepping away from basketball altogether.
“Hanna and I have decided to not take our fifth year and start a new chapter in our lives,” they wrote as part of a statement posted to Instagram on Tuesday. “The U will always be home and we are forever proud to be Hurricanes.”
Haley led Miami in scoring last season, averaging 12.2 points per game, as well as 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Hanna averaged 3.8 points per contest along with 1.6 assists and 1.3 rebounds.
The latter was the one who made the decision not to go back for a final season with the Canes so her sister has also decided to call curtains as she didn’t want to play without her twin.
It’s now being rumored that they could try out wrestling and join WWE, having already secured a NIL deal with the promotion back in 2021. Given their decision to quit basketball, there’s speculation over permanent involvement with the company.

The Cavinder Twins are social media stars who are among the highest NIL earners. They plan to stay in Florida to work with their sponsors. It’s also where WWE has its Performance Center, so the possibilities are plenty.
