All but one of the 61 coaches who vote in the USA Today coaches poll ranked Ohio State as one of the six best teams in the country.
Dabo Swinney made his voice known in his final ballot ahead of the Ohio State-Clemson Sugar Bowl when he voted the Buckeyes at No. 11. He put them behind Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia, Cincinnati, Oklahoma, Iowa State and Coastal Carolina.
Swinney has said multiple times that he thinks Ohio State should not be rewarded for playing just six games.
Former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones did not appreciate that ranking, so he took to Twitter and fired back at the head coach.
“11th?!….Oh we kicking that ass for that Little Swinney!!!” he tweeted.
Ohio State and Clemson are scheduled to kick off on New Year’s Day.
