LSU linebacker Whit Weeks was carted off in Tuesday’s Texas Bowl game against the Baylor Bears after suffering a horrifying looking ankle injury.
Play had to be stopped with 1:41 remaining in the second quarter after Whit Weeks was injured in the Tigers’ 2024 season finale. Weeks was seen grabbing at his ankle as medical personnel looked at him before taking the star linebacker away on a cart.
As you can see in the videos below, it appears as though trainers had to bend Weeks’ ankle back into place:
Absolutely brutal injury for #LSU stud LB Whit Weeks…clearly has a dislocated/broken ankle…rarely do you see a trainer put a dislocated limb back in place on the field on live television…crazy…#Tigers #Baylor #Bears #TexasBowl pic.twitter.com/Z7usRDtV2M

Whit Weeks Had A Strong Second Season At LSU
After a stellar true freshman year with the Tigers, Whit Weeks elevated his game in 2024 by posting 114 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one interception.
A three-game losing skid late in the year (vs. Texas A&M, Alabama and Florida) doomed the Tigers’ chances of qualifying for the 12-team College Football Playoff this year. But beating Baylor in the Texas Bowl is sure a nice way to close out a roller-coaster 2024 season.
