The 2023 college football season could no be ending any worse for reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams.
Once thought to be the run-away leader for first-overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, Williams has seen his stock take a hit in recent weeks, as he and his USC Trojans have struggled mightily during Pac-12 play.
The Trojans’ most recent loss came on Saturday when they were embarrassed at home by their arch rivals from UCLA, 38-20.
After the game, which may have been Williams’ last as a Trojan, the star quarterback chose not to speak to the media.
The decision came on the heels of Caleb receiving a ton of criticism for crying with his mother in the stands following a heartbreaking loss to Washington.

Not surprisingly, social media took direct aim at Williams for his decision, with many calling him “soft.”
Although social media is known to be overly-critical of every thing, it is still fair to wonder whether Williams’ latest postgame decision will cost him in the eyes of NFL scouts.
