Caleb Williams played his college football at just the right time because he would probably be headed to the NFL with empty pockets had he been born in a different era.
The former USC standout is tipped to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft and, should that materialize, he would be in for some megabank as the value of last year’s No. 1 pick stood at $41.2 million, with the figure set to rise this year.
Given that college players can get paid for the usage of their names, images, and likenesses nowadays, Williams has already made a significant haul.
According to The Athletic’s Kalyn Kahler, the quarterback’s NIL earnings touched the $10 million mark in the space of just two seasons.
“Between NIL money and endorsements, Caleb made millions in his final two seasons at USC, with multiple sources putting the number around $10 million. “It wasn’t like having a college quarterback on your roster,” said a source close to USC. “It was like having an NFL starting quarterback on your roster.”
Williams landed multiple endorsement deals while playing for the Trojans, including from brands such as Dr. Pepper. United Airlines, Postmates. Wendy’s, and Nissan.

Previous reports had his Nil value down at $2.7 million but it appears they were way off.
