Caleb Williams embodied every USC fan on Saturday night after his reaction was caught on camera.
Any major aspirations that the USC Trojans had with reigning Heisman winner Caleb Williams at quarterback are dead now.
After his team’s heartbreaking loss to Utah, the Heisman-winning quarterback was caught seated on the bench looking broken and disgusted that the team had lost to the Utah Utes once again. Williams was being consoled by teammates and seemed utterly pissed by what just transpired on the field.
The No. 18 Trojans had lost their last two matchups against the No. 14 Utes but it seemed they were finally on the cusp of breaking that streak late in the fourth quarter when Williams ran for his lone touchdown of the night to take a one-point lead. The defense just needed to do their job for less than two minutes.
Utah marched down the field to score on a walk-off field goal to win 34–32. Williams finished the game with 256 passing yards and 27 rushing yards.

Things change quickly as two weeks ago the Trojans were firmly in the running for a College Football Playoff appearance but this marks their second loss in a row and basically ends all hope in what will be Caleb’s final year in college before he heads off into the NFL.
USC will look to bounce back against Cal on Saturday with kick-off scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
