Caleb Williams is the current Heisman Trophy holder, and he’s tipped to win the accolade again at the end of the season. However, fans were giving it to both Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders after their remarkable performances on Saturday.
Still, the Colorado stars weren’t the only ones making big plays on the day, with USC’s Williams letting folks know he’s still the man after firing the Trojans to a 66-14 blowout win over Nevada.
Williams, who made 18 of his 24 attempts for 319 passing yards and five touchdowns, was responsible for some of the most electrifying plays of the weekend.
The videos below show him pulling off moves that had fans comparing him to Kansas City star and reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.
In one of them, he manages to escape the defense in the backfield and complete a long pass while running out of bounds. Another one sees him give the defense the slip to make a similar pass that ends in a touchdown.

Here are some reactions:
As good as Williams was on the day, his coach still wants more from him as he believes the QB has another gear.
“I can’t say I’m, like, disappointed with how he’s played,” Lincoln Riley told reporters. “But he’s got to get better.”
“There are some things he’s done really well, especially the situational ball and some understanding defensively I think have improved, but we’ve had a handful of plays in both of the games that we both want back that we got to get and not leave on the table going forward.”
The Trojans are 2-0 after wins against San Jose State and Nevada. They will look to go 3-0 when they play Stanford next Saturday.
