On Thursday, the Brooklyn Nets traded Allen Crabbe, the 2019 No. 17 pick and a protected 2020 first-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Taurean Prince and a 2021 second-round pick.
On the outside looking in, it looks like a weird trade that doesn’t make much sense. But then you realize that the Nets just created enough cap space to sign Kyrie Irving who is reportedly “serious” about signing there.
Nets just created roughly 46 Million in cap room plus the RFA rights to retain DeAngelo Russell.
This is going to a crazy offseason.
