Fortunately, the 18-year-old is out of the ICU and is in stable condition. A spokesman for the James family has requested privacy but has also promised to update the media once information becomes available.
“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information,” they said in a statement.
“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
Bronny, one of the most popular college players in the country and the NCAA’s highest NIL earner, committed to the Trojans this year amid widespread interest. He is projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, but this latest development overshadows all of that.
Get well soon, Bronny!
