Bronny James has been vaunted to go top-10 in the 2024 NBA Draft, with the guard’s growth thought to have given him an edge over many players in his class.
Bronny, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, is yet to announce his commitment for next season and reports claim recruiters have found it very difficult to contact the youngster given how insulated he is. But he’s likely not going to remain with whatever program he chooses very long as he’s expected to enter next year’s NBA Draft.
Now, ESPN analyst Jonathan Givony has tipped Bronny to be a lottery pick, despite the fact that the player ranks No. 33 in his high school class. Givony notes that Bronny’s development as it pertains to his body, plus his ability to defend on the perimeter, could see him fly up the draft boards.
As most of his peers have flatlined the past 12 to 18 months, James has grown, filled out his frame, found another gear with his explosiveness and become an absolute terror off the ball defensively thanks to his outstanding intensity and feel for the game. He still has plenty of room to improve his ballhandling and pull-up jumper to become a more prolific and efficient shot creator, but he has already caught the eyes of NBA decision-makers with the way he contributes to winning and likely will continue to grow and fill out his game.

Givony has also put together a mock draft for 2024 in which he has Bronny going to the Orlando Magic as the 10th overall pick.
The guard is expected to make an announcement on his future after his high school season comes to a close. USC, Oregon, and Ohio State are thought to be the favorites to land the burgeoning basketball talent.
