LeBron James’ son Bronny is just months away from making his debut as an NCAA college basketball player, but there are still questions about which college he may choose to play for the foreseeable future.
James could announce his college decision very soon, according to Adam Zagoria of Forbes.
“I’m sure he will make his decision real soon,” a person close to James said.
Some have perhaps wondered what type of a role his father may play in his decision, but he said that the choice will ultimately be made by him.
The younger James recently finished his senior season of high school ball at Sierra Canyon School, and showed off his skills with a great showing at the McDonald’s All-American Game where he knocked down five 3-pointers.

The 18-year-old James is rated by 247Sports as a 4-star prospect and the No. 33 overall recruit in the 2023 class.
The 6’3″, 190-pound combo guard does not possess the 6’9″ frame that his father does, but he has proved himself to be a highly valuable player during his time at Sierra Canyon High School. During his senior season, Bronny averaged a solid 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, speaking to his diverse skill set.
James is slated to play in the Nike Hoop Summit on Saturday in Portland, Oregon, and he will be the only player on Team USA who has yet to commit to a school.
Lindsay Schnell of USA Today noted that there has been speculation that Bronny will announce his college decision during the Nike Hoop Summit, but he has not confirmed such plans.
