Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, will be staying super close to his family for his college days.
On Saturday evening, James announced in an Instagram post that he has committed to the USC Trojans’ basketball program.
James, who turns 19 years of age in October, currently plays at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, a Los Angeles suburb. The 6-foot-3 guard was named a 2023 McDonald’s All-American.
Last year, LeBron stated that he plans to spend his final NBA season with his son. Bronny is eligible for the 2024 draft, which will take place a few months shy of his 20th birthday.
LeBron and the Lakers are tied 1-1 with the Golden State Warriors in their best-of-seven series. Game 3 of their second round matchup will take place on Saturday evening.
