His team may have lost on Saturday, but Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Chubba Purdy did not disappoint against Wisconsin.
Chubba is the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback Brock Purdy. The younger Purdy introduced himself to the NCAA with a dazzling performance against the Badgers, tossing for 169 yards and a touchdown to go along with 105 rushing yards and a touchdown.
This included a 55-yard rushing score in the Cornhuskers’ 24-17 overtime loss to the Badgers that had social media buzzing:

The 22-year-old Purdy was at Florida State from 2020 to 2021 before transferring to Nebraska. Older brother Brock played at Iowa and was the final pick (“Mr. Irrelevant) by the 49ers in 2022 at No. 262 overall.
In his first season with the 49ers, Purdy won all five regular season starts and led the 49ers to the NFC Championship Game. Purdy’s 49ers enter Week 11 with a 6-3 record, tied with the Seattle Seahawks for tops in the NFC West.
