What a tough break for the USC Trojans.
USC’s highly-touted sophomore quarterback JT Daniels went down with an injury in the first half Week 1 win over Fresno State and was unable return.
Daniels landed awkwardly while sacked late in the second quarter, which would require people to help him off the field as he was unable to put any weight on his right leg before being carted off to the locker room.
An MRI revealed that Daniels suffered a torn ACL and meniscus and will miss the remainder of the 2019 season.
Daniels finished 25 of 34 for 215 yards with a touchdown and interception.
