Lincoln Riley is gone.
The Oklahoma head coach reportdly informed his Sooners’ staff that he will be accepting the head coaching position at USC.
It was just less than 24 hours age when Riled denied rumors that he would be headed to LSU. It turns out reporters were asking about the wrong college.
“Let me stop you right there. I’m not going to be the next coach at LSU,” Riley said in his postgame press conference.
This news comes after the Sooners were eliminated from Big 12 title contention with the loss in Bedlam.
Riley ends his career at Oklahoma with a 55-10 record in five seasons. Oklahoma won the Big 12 in his first four seasons and also has three College Football Playoff appearances under his belt. The 10-2 Sooners will fall short of those goals this season.
