Less than two weeks ago, the Oakland Raiders made a decision to part ways with Jordy Nelson shortly after they made a trade for Antonio Brown.
Despite rumors of his next destination, it seems that the veteran WR has decided to hang up his cleats and retire.
Nelson received a 2-year contract from the Raiders just last season. Nelson was largely overlooked last season after a slow start, but would rebound with 38 catches over the last five weeks of 2018, third most in the NFL over that time.
The 33-year-old finishes his career with 613 catches for 8,587 yards and 72 touchdowns, a Pro Bowl appearance in 2014, a Comeback Player of the Year award in 2016, and a Super Bowl XLV ring.
