BREAKING: Cal Defensive Back Bryce Turner Passes Away At Age 19

This is absolutely heartbreaking.

California Golden Bears defensive back Bryce Turner died Saturday at the age of 19, the team announced.

Today, we lost a beloved member of our #CalFamily.

Earlier in the week, the redshirt sophomore suffered a medical emergency and had been hospitalized since that episode. The cause of death remains unknown.

The Lakewood, California, native appeared in one game and recorded a single tackle in his Cal career.
