There are plays that should only be reserved for video games. Unfortunately for the Northern Illinois Huskies, Boston College Quarterback Thomas Castellanos didn’t get the memo.
The Eagles Quarterback pulled off an insane play on 4th down where he evaded defenders for several seconds before finally throwing the football to complete a 1st down. The play, which seemed to last forever was a highlight on a down with 5 yards that ultimately helped the Eagles come back two score down to send it to overtime.
Fans online applauded the absurd play, with the smaller Quarterback seemingly running for his life has he juked tacklers as Castellanos looked for an open enough receiver.

Unfortunately, this was the highlight of Boston College football not only for this game, which they lost in overtime 27-24, but for their past few seasons. The eagles went 3-9 in 2022 as one of the worst programs in football today, especially for such a well respected program.
Castellanos deserves his flowers for such a gutsy play and his will to win, and the Boston College fanbase should hope it leads to victories in 2023.
