Carl Pelini, the brother of Super Bowl champion and former college coach Bo Pelini, has turned himself in this week to Ohio police after a warrant was issued for arrest.
Pelini, the head coach of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, has been accused of domestic violence after his daughter called police and said her mother was “bleeding” and had a “black eye.” Responding officers said the woman was “highly intoxicated” and said she and her husband had an argument and that he hit her.
911 Caller: “Her eye is bleeding. She has like a black eye.”
Pelini’s son also told police the argument woke him up and saw blood on the kitchen floor and his mother’s injuries, according to the police report.
He pleaded not guilty, but was ordered to stay away from the alleged victim, WKBN-TV reported. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond.
He’s due back in court again at a later date.
Pelini has been coaching at Mooney for two years. Cardinal Mooney placed Pelini on administrative leave following his arrest.
