Your eyes are not deceiving you.
Multiple teams have offered a scholarship to a running back in the 2025 recruiting class whose name you might have heard before — Bo Jackson.
No, we are not talking about the legendary Bo Jackson who played in Major League Baseball and the NFL.
Lamar “Bo” Jackson is a four-star recruit out of Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He is currently rated the No. 8 running back and the No. 101 overall player in the 2025 class according to 247 Sports Composite.
He has scholarship offers from some big-time programs.
This week, Jackson set his visit schedule for the spring, according to Rivals.com:
- March 16 – Penn State
- March 23 – Tennessee
- March 30 – Ohio State
- April 5 – Alabama
- April 6 – Georgia
- April 20 – Rutgers

Jackson announced via X earlier this week that he’d received a scholarship offer from the Crimson Tide. He tagged Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer, running backs coach Robert Gillespie, and secondary coach Colin Hitschler.
Alabama famously failed to sign the “original” Bo Jackson out of McAdory High School in the 1982 recruiting class.
The new Bo Jackson also has scholarship offers from Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin.
