When Bill Belichick stepped away from the head coaching position with the New England Patriots, he was believed to return to football one day.
Of course, he has been connected to many different NFL teams, including the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Of course, if you follow North Carolina football, you’d know that the Tar Heels are coming from a disappointing 6-6 season and 3-5 record in conference play.

Bill Belichick Has Never Coached At The College Level
It’s rare to see a head coach get his first gig as a team leader right into the NFL without any college experience, but that’s the exact path Belichick took.
He started as a special assistant for the Baltimore Colts in 1975 and quickly rose through the ranks of several teams.
His first coordinator job was with the special teams as a part of the New York Giants from 1979 – 1984. With the same team, Belichick was named defensive coordinator for five years.
By 1991, he had been the head coach of the Browns for four years, with a few assistant head coach stints between then and being named head coach of the Patriots from 2000 – 2023.
