Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have done it again.
Five-star quarterback Julian Lewis announced that he’s committing to Colorado after initially committing to USC in August 2023.
Programs like Auburn, Georgia, Alabama and Indiana were also in on the 6-foot signal-caller.
Lewis’s commitment is a game-changing moment for the Colorado Buffaloes and will help them transition into the future of the program after Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter leave for the NFL.
Lewis, a senior out of Carrollton, Georgia, is ranked the No. 115 overall player and No. 9 quarterback in the Top247 ratings. According to ESPN, he also ranks as the nation’s No. 2 pocket-passer recruit for 2026.
Bryce Underwood, who committed to LSU, is ahead of him.

Lewis made the announcement to the Colorado Buffaloes on the Pat McAfee Show.
“Of course, it was big for me just coming in after Shedeur, just seeing what he’s done to Colorado and what he’s turned it into,” Lewis said on the show. “It’s definitely a blessing getting put into this position coming after him and his dad. I couldn’t beat it.”
