The University of Nebraska is reported to be working round the clock in a bid to get Dylan Raiola to flip his commitment ahead of National Signing Day.
The No. 1-ranked quarterback has committed to Georgia but it’s been reported that he could walk back on his promise and sign for Nebraska, where his family has strong ties.
Dylan’s father, former All-American center Dominic, is one of the most notable players in Cornhuskers history. His uncle, Donovan Raiola, is currently an offensive line coach over there.
According to Brad Crawford of 247Sports, Donovan has received a significant raise after agreeing to an extension with the program.
Crawford writes:
“The only holdover from Scott Frost’s previous staff at Nebraska, Raiola’s salary was bumped to $500,000 — a 53% increase from his previous $325,000 total — through Dec. 31, 2024, according to the contract, effective Aug. 1, 2023.”

Should Raiola switch his commitment, his uncle could be the one in charge of protecting him. Of course, Donavan has probably been in his nephew’s ear and he could have the final word.
A flip would also mark a huge win for head coach Matt Rhule, who aims to push the Huskers back among the nation’s elite.
Nebraska is also thought to be the likeliest landing spot for Kyle McCord following the Ohio State QB’s decision to enter the transfer portal. The offseason could be a very fruitful one following their disappointing 5-7 finish in 2023.
