The Big Ten is understood to have some very serious proof of Michigan’s wrongdoing amid the program’s sign-stealing saga.
The conference was prepared to remove one game from Jim Harbaugh’s suspension, which would have allowed him to be on the sidelines during their clash against Ohio State. But the Wolverines backed down from their stance after some fresh information came through.
According to FOX’s Bruce Feldman, the program learned that there was some “damning evidence” against them that caused them to accept the three-game suspension.
“Things really changed late Wednesday night after Michigan brass learned the Big Ten had really damning evidence against Michigan,” Feldman said on Saturday’s ‘Big Noon Kickoff’. “That’s when the Wolverines backed down and agreed to the suspension.”
It appears there could be more to come from the investigations into the Wolverines’ alleged sign stealing.
As for Harbaugh, he is set to sit out today’s game against Maryland, as well as Michigan’s showdown vs. the Buckeyes next weekend.
