Sister Jean was a national treasure a few years ago, and continues to show why even when she is deep in prayer.
Sister Jean led the Ramblers in a prayer before tip-off and it also included an epic scouting report on the No. 1 seeded Illinois Fighting Illini.
“We have a great opportunity to convert rebounds as this team makes about 50% of layups and 30% of its 3 points. Our defense can take care of that.”
Loyola responded well as they were up 33-24 at halftime of the Midwest Region game.
Loyola Chicago carried out 101-year-old superfan Sister Jean’s plans to a T as they would go on to dominate and win the game, 71-58, and bounce the first No. 1 seed from this year’s NCAA tournament.
The Ramblers will next play either Oklahoma State or Oregon State, who were set to meet later Sunday.
