Hanna Cavinder has posted a statement regarding an article done on her and twin sister, Haley, after they agreed to an interview.
Veteran sports writer Ethan Strauss, previously a writer for The Athletic and ESPN, interviewed the celebrity twins for an article that was published at The Free Press. The article was titled, “The NCAA Has a ‘Hot Girl’ Problem.”
Below the title was a subheading that read, “The Cavinder Twins, the emerging oligarchs of women’s college basketball, aren’t the best players. But they might be the best-looking.”
In a statement shared on Twitter (also published on behalf of Haley), Hanna stated that they were under the belief that the interview for Strauss’ story would be about life following NIL (name, likeness, image).
Hanna added that in an interview that lasted over an hour, they were only asked one question about their “physical looks.”

Haley, a three-time All-Mountain West Team selection, was named 2021 Mountain West Player of the Year (2021). Hanna was named an All-Mountain West Team selection in 2020 and 2021, also earning Mountain West All-Freshman Team in the former year.
The 22-year-old twins, who signed with WWE’s NIL program in Dec. 2021, debuted on the company’s NXT program last week.
