Bronny James had quite an impressive showing at the 2023 McDonald’s Slam Dunk Contest.
The high-school star’s father LeBron James did very much the same 20 years ago, putting on a show in the 2003 iteration of the competition and, having achieved everything he set out to do in the NBA, is now waiting on Bronny to join him.
It appears the Sierra Canyon guard has the same freakish athleticism as his dad and it’s very likely that he ends up in the NBA too.

The youngster is playing some of the best basketball of his life this year and, should he get to the league, it would be on his own merit.
It wasn’t too long ago he was considered to be on the periphery as it pertains to NBA prospects. But Bronny is now ranked the ninth-best player in the 2023 recruiting class and is wanted by most of the programs around. He is believed to favor Ohio State but is yet to commit anywhere.
As for the dunk contest, the guard finished second, behind Duke commit Sean Stewart.
