The never-ending argument about women’s sports not being “real” sports or female athletes not being “real” athletes continues to be a main talking point for men who cannot fathom giving respect to women for their athletic abilities.
On Monday, Seattle Storm star Breanna Stewart responded to one of those type of comments when she blasted media personality and former rapper Joe Budden.
Budden took to Twitter and said, “Seattle deserves a basketball team,” while watching “The Last Dance.”
Breanna Stewart hit back to let him know that they already have one.
She wasn’t the only one as Seattle guard Jewell Loyd chimed in as well:

Budden later clarified that he was talking about the Sonics and the city having an NBA team.
The Storm have won three WNBA championships in their history, most recently in 2018.
After failing to find public funding to construct a new arena in the Seattle area, the SuperSonics moved to Oklahoma City before the 2008–09 season and the city has been without an NBA team ever since.
