Minor League Baseball can sometimes be quite amazing.
Delvin Perez had just smashed a ball so hard to the point he assumed he had just hit a home run to increase the Memphis Redbirds’ lead over the Gwinnet Stripers.
He did not watch the ball long enough to see that he flew out.
Perez ripped a 1-1 pitch to left, flipped his bat, and then trouted around the bases thinking he had put a run on the board. He did not.
He did not realize it until he rounded third base.
