ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ will have a Barstool Sports star on as its guest picker when the show goes live in Virginia this Saturday.
The popular college football program will be in the Old Dominion for Appalachian State and James Madison and will have JMU alum PFT Commenter taking the spot of guest picker, according to an announcement they made on Thursday night.
PFT’s real name is Eric Sollenberger. He hosts the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast alongside Dan Katz, who goes by Big Cat. The two got into a partnership with ESPN six years ago but had their ‘Barstool Van Talk’ show canceled after a single episode.
Reports noted that there were internal concerns at The Worldwide Leader in Sports over whether it was wise for the network to work with Barstool Sports. It appears there are no reservations now.
Meanwhile, JMU is 10-0 in what’s their second season in the FBS. Still, they will only be able to play a bowl game if there aren’t enough teams with six or more wins.
The NCAA only just knocked back the program’s waiver request for full bowl eligibility. Unfortunately, they might miss out on such a game even if they go unbeaten.
